It seems like when you mention Kalamazoo and beer, the first thing everyone  thinks of is Bell's. Of course they're good, but visitors should be sure to check out the brewery across the street also. You really feel like you're in a brewery there. An old building with lots of charm, located next to a railroad track, they produce some of my favorite Michigan brews.

Their Dopplebock is one of the finer examples of that style. If you are anywhere near Kalamazoo on St. Patrick's day, this is the place you want to be. The daily entertainment varies, so visit their site at www.kraftbraubrewery.com.
