Brew Fondue in a Sourdough Loaf

1 round loaf sourdough bread
1 1/2 pounds cheddar cheese, grated or cut into small pieces
1/3 cup flour
1 10-3/4 ounce can condensed cream of shrimp soup
2/3 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup Porter or Stout

Cut top off bread and hollow out loaf to make a bowl shape. Cut or tear inside into small pieces and wrap in plastic wrap till ready to use.

Mix remaining ingredients slowly in a saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently till smooth.

Pour mixture into hollowed loaf and serve with reserved bread pieces and raw vegetables.

Fondue can also be served in a fondue pot, which will keep the dish hot much longer.
